ISO 9001 (short for ISO 9001:2015 – the latest version of ISO 9001) is a quality management system standard developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization on September 24th 2015. This standard has the full name of ISO 9001:2015 – Quality management systems – Requirements. ISO 9001 sets forth requirements to be used as a framework for a Quality Management System. This International Standard is also used for the assessment and certification of conformity with an organization’s Quality Management System.
